More beach photography and a poem ❤

Let’s Walk To Manhattan Over the Sea

Written July 3, 2016

“Let’s walk to Manhattan

over the sea

around the currents and

whirlpools of plastic

and sparkly bottles of thrown-away

whiskey.

Give directions to the fishes

that are trying to get back

to their endless horizon

crystal open-ocean.

This harbor isn’t their home.

It was never meant to be their home.

It’s too dangerous here.

Too many junkie needles and dead bodies

and styrofoam and shipping barges,

oil and gasoline.

And they can’t walk on water like you and me.

They don’t belong in Manhattan like you and me.”
