Someone Stole My Image! (blog)

Update: User removed all 4 pictures of my face on his pages. He did not apologize. He did not respond. But, I am happy this is over.

I feel violated by this person!

He did not ask me before altering 4 of my photographs!

I’m quite disturbed by this…

  1. First thing I would do is screen shot for evidence, contact them and ask them to remove the images or 2ndly, ask that he acknowledge the rightful owner on his sight and if he fails to do neither, tell him he is in violation of your copyright and find out what steps you can take. Some people are wannabes and therefore steal others work because they admire you, and therefore covet your work and steal it. They are fake. Jx

    1. I feel really upset by this. I know I may be over reacting but it’s MY face. I was born with it. It’s not someone else’s face. And I’m not a celebrity who sells herself. I’m just a writer with a website. I feel someone shouldn’t be allowed to just take that image of me and use it however they please, especially when I posted my copyright information detailing a way to request. If he requested I probably would have said yes to him!

  2. What an ass!!! Why would he do that?! Did he not think your photograph was part of the copyright? If it was me, I’d tell him either he removed the pictures IMMEDIATELY or face a lawsuit for violating your copyright.

  3. I just went to his website. I see you’ve already sent several requests to him about removing the images. He’s stupid if he thought he could just warp your image and nobody would know. GO GET HIM!

    1. At this point I don’t even want to post anymore. I hate to be dramatic, but if people are going to steal my stuff, I feel unsafe and digitally violated. It makes me miserable.

    1. Wow. I am happy to say that he DELETED all the posts he made using my image of my own face. What a violation of privacy AND WHAT A WIMP! He did not even apologize for what he did!!
      My goodness.
I am in such disgust right now.
I truly am so off-kilter from this.
And today my mail was opened and stuff was stolen.
It’s like this whole day was an invasion of my personal property.

I am so stressed out. I know that seems dramatic. I’m just overwhelmed with the mail thing. I had to contact the Postal Service Federal Investigation thing which took a long time on the phone. And then this happens. And my brain is currently inflamed. Half of my face is numb. It’s like REALLY THIS IS ALL I NEEDED!

Lady, let’s go out for a drink. I don’t drink but I sure feel like I need one.

    (1) I APOLOGIZE FOR CAUSING YOU DISCOMFORT ON ALL LEVELS
    (2) YOU CONTACTED ME FIRST:
ON 12/11/15 9:53am YOU SENT, “HELLO HANDSOME FELLOW”
    (3) IF YOU HAD LOOKED AT MY BLOG, YOU WOULD HAVE REALIZED
THAT PRIMARILY I “REFURBISH” FAMOUS WORKS OF ART AND PHOTOS
OF OTHER PEOPLE. OUT OF THOUSANDS, ONLY ONE OTHER PERSON
HAD COPYRIGHT ISSUES. MOST PEOPLE APPRECIATE THE WORKS !
    FREE ADVERTISING FOR THEIR BLOG.
    (3) I LISTED IN LARGE LETTERS YOUR NAME AND BLOG ADDRESS
    ABOVE THE IMAGES
    (4) THERE ARE NO MONEY ANTICS INVOLVED WITH MY BLOG
    (5) I NEVER STOLE YOUR IMAGE. I ALTERED IT
    (6) IT IS SAD TO THINK THAT YOUR “IDENITY” COULD BE STOLEN
FROM A PHOTOGRAPH ON THE INTERNET
    (7) I AM SLOW RESPONDING BECAUSE OF THE HOLIDAY CRAZINESS
    (8) SORRY—–WISH YOU THE BEST

    1. 1. I say hello to a lot of people.

      2. It violated my copyright procedure which clearly states that you must contact me.

      3. “warping” my face to your whims is NOT appreciated and does not advertise me the way i wish to be portrayed.

      4. By altering my image you stole it. You downloaded it without my consent where I had copyright to it. It is my face, not yours. You then did what you wanted to it.

      5. You had to request under my copyright and at this point looking at your work I would have denied you.

      6. You listed but did not link. You used my name, portraying me in a way I did not desire. I took the photo. It is mine. It is not yours.

      7. Again, it is NOT appreciated at all. Your “art” of taking someone’s face and warping it is not welcome here.
