What Echoes the Loudest, a poem by Drem

July 8, 2015

“The hateful words

echo the loudest

no matter how many people

I have

that care

I exist.

The hurt words

echo on and on,

never fully fading

to a silence.

Instead,

they reverberate

and come alive

again.”

  1. This one really moved me. I don’t know where to begin. I think it is just the words you used in the poem itself and how masterfully you use them that really effect how this is read.

    1. A stranger with a nasty side comment can completely take down one’s day. It’s not right. Why can’t we focus on the positives? I know I can’t.

      Thank you for listening, BJ.

      1. It took me a long time to focus on the positives. But yes one person too say something nasty can make wish to give in. Don’t keep writing and write what you wish to be heard they will eventually give in
